Walk
Watch her and her tail when near traffic – (she has no fear and cars do not watch out for dogs in this area) Keep on stretch lead at all times.
I always pick up her ‘nasties’ wherever I am. Poop scoop supplied. Very easy and clean to use. Just need to hold your breath until you reach a waste bin!
She is ten years old so high jumps are not recommended.
Do not let her on any furniture or beds.
No treats while you are eating. Ignore her while eating otherwise she drools and begs.
Do not give her a blanket she chews them and eats them. She knows what is hers.
She has a tendency to eat sand, wood, dung, rubbish and plants. Like a child so please keep and eye on her at all times and on the long stretchy lead. She loves water of any kind and paddling but does not like swimming.
If leaving her in the house ensure plenty of fresh water and leave the radio on low. Let her out for a tiddle or nasty first. Give her a treat before leaving and say ‘Guard the house’. She can be left for up to four hours.
Food & Toilet
Example of a Healthy Routine
When you get up (no need to get up especially early) let her out for a tiddle.
Immediately after feed her with one cup of dried food. Fresh water.
(No milk, tit bits or left overs she will just be sick). She may like to lick out an almost empty yogurt carton.)
Before you go to work or after breakfast let her out for a tiddle.
Walk your dog twice day, for twenty minutes each time - minimum.
Sometime during day can have one of the following: chew bone (not a real one bits can get stuck in their stomach), something from the treat box, handful of food in her cube to play with. Something different each day.
Have a game once a day with her Ragga – she likes a game of tug. Say Give it to me and let her win sometimes she loves this.
